An Invasion of the Redmond Town Center
Back for the 11th year! Every year thousands of dancers and spectators shamble, stagger, and shimmy their way down to Redmond Town Center for the annual THRILL THE WORLD REDMOND. After several weeks of Thriller workshops, Zombies aged 8 to 108 invade the Town Center in their best bloody rags for a simultaneous dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller and raise money for worthwhile charitable causes.
We want YOU to join the horde!
Bring the kids and the grandparents, because this is a family friendly day of fun. Don’t like to dance? Get a ghastly pallor expertly applied by our makeup artists for your souvenir photo, check out fabulous performances from local musicians and actors, and go shopping! Retailers all over the Town Center will be offering special discounts for customers in zombie-wear, and restaurants will be offering discounts, deals, and their signature Zombie Cocktails. And don’t forget to show off your amazing costume in the costume contest! We’ll be giving away “to-die-for” prizes from our shops and restaurants.
Bites & Cocktails (21+)
Feast on ghoulish delights at participating restaurants all day.
iPic’s Salt Lounge is mixing up their “Blood Potion” cocktail to quench the thirst of the living dead. This concoction of blood orange vodka, pomegranate purée, St. Germaine, and pineapple juice is otherworldly! Ghouls will gobble up the gummy worm and eyeball garnish!
The sweet, tropical taste of “The Apocalypse” cocktail will warm your dead heart like a day at the beach and you’ll forget the end of the world is near. Stagger to Seattle Marriott Redmond to get yours.
Follow the lead of the chic, Eastside undead to Archer Hotel and sip the “Ghosted” zombie espresso martini. Feeling peckish? Nosh on some “Zombie Brains” of avocado + bruschetta toast while you’re there.
Wee zombies (and big ones) agree that “Zombified” cupcakes at Pinkabella Cupcakes are the most gruesomely awesome, sweet treat that one can eat!
Flock to Matts’ Rotisserie for a zesty brew of jalapeno infused Tequila, Triple Sec, beet puree and muddled limes. It might “Te-quila Mockingbird” but it won’t murder the crows. Give this fiendishly delicious beverage a sip and you’ll feel alive!
Fundraising for Charity
This year we are supporting Team Survivor Northwest. Their mission is to provide a broad range of fitness and health education programs to enable women cancer survivors, in any stage of treatment or recovery and at any fitness level, to take an active role in their ongoing physical and emotional healing.
