Community Art Project with Artist Meghan Yates

Artist Meghan Yates invites festival goers of all ages to participate in a community art installation titled "The Hope Red Thread Project."  Collectively participants will help produce a large scale art piece exploring the concepts of hope and connectivity. Their experiences and wisdom will be directly incorporated into the piece through words, conversation and various materials. The Red Hope Thread Project is designed for all ages to participate, especially children.  The community art project is sponsored by The Carter Apartments by MainStreet Property Group.

About the project, Meghan shares, "Our hope for the future is reliant on working together, dreaming together, being connected. In addition, our HOPE is in the generations to come and in a real way will be lived out by the children." The final piece will be displayed at the VALA Art Center after the festival.
